Challenge 19 - Sketch

Boy aren't the weeks just flying by - we're onto our 19th challenge already and this time we have a sketch for you.   You can take this one any way you like - as long as the general feel of the sketch can be seen you can flip it, stretch it (for an oblong base) and the heart can be any old shape you like!

Tara

Now it's over to you - here's the link up - you have until 8pm GMT on Thursday 12th June to play along.

Challenge 18 Reminder

You still have a few days to enter your "textural" project to our current challenge which closes on Thursday 15th May, 5.00pm BST (Noon EDT).   Time to break out the embossing or even a bit of paper scrunching!

Hi all - I'm very late sharing my card for this week's challenge, but here it is:

Challenge 18 - Theme

We're making the theme a little easier this time as our last theme of mixed messages only saw 3 players join us - so this time all we want is for you to ADD TEXTURE to your project.  You can do this with embossing - wet or dry, using paste, gesso, textured fabric, wood or even scrunching up some paper - let's get inventively textural....

 Deborah

Deborah is away with family this weekend so will be a little late with her inspiration project.

Tara

I used lots of texture in my simple guys card - texture is great on masculine projects where you can't do bows and flowers!  I used an embossing folder on kraft and flipped it for the reverse both for colour contrast and I wanted the depressions to show rather than raised lines.  I then added some textured hessian ribbon and a stripe of washi in gold over that to tie the colours to my sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from My Guy is embossed in gold for more texture, cut with a nestie and mounted with foam tape on the next sized nestie.   Hope that gives you lots of ideas!

Link up your creations below - submission deadline is Thursday 29th May, 5.00pm BST (Noon EDT).  Have fun!

Challenge 17 Winner

We only had 6 entrants to the last colour challenge - I guess we scared you all off with the vibrant parrot colours.   If you have friends who are crafters and have Waltzingmouse products, do tell them about the challenge - we love setting it for you each fortnight but we do wonder if there is a demand for it out there as our numbers aren't really growing :(

Anyhow, we'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge with wider scope so we hope to see lots of entrants, but before we get to that, there is the small matter of the winner for the last challenge - as we only had 6 we just picked one winner and no runners up.   So our winner who rocked the parrot colours with not one but 3 cards is Kathy C and we picked her last card as our winner as it used all the colours in the combo in a bright and fun way.

Please grab your No 1 Fan badge and show it off with pride!

See you all tomorrow (we hope!)

Challenge 17 - Colours

Hi!  Welcome back to Waltzingmouse Fanatics, Tara and I were really pleased to see so many fabulous entries to our last challenge.  This time we have a colour challenge - isn't that graphic just fabulous?  The colours are so bright and vibrant!  You don't have to use all the colours in your creations, but we do expect to see at least THREE.  You MUST use at least one Waltzingmouse image, sentiment or digi.  Here's some inspiration from us, you will find full details on our blogs.

Thanks - photo by Deborah Frings - Deborah's Gems

We are really looking forward to seeing what you make with these colours.  Link up your creations below - submission deadline is Thursday 15th May, 5.00pm BST (Noon EDT).  Have fun!
